We understand that everyone has unique skills and interests, so we’re happy to find the perfect volunteer opportunity that suits you.
Whether you're a student looking to fulfill service hours or gain experience, or you're retired and hoping to give back to the community, volunteering at Meadows on Sycamore offers a rewarding experience. You could spend time engaging residents in conversation, helping with games and activities, assisting with events, or simply offering companionship to those who may not have regular visitors.

Family Friend Events
4-5 hours. Set up and tear down tables and decorations, assist with passing out food, running an assigned game, and assisting residents as needed to participate.
REQUIREMENTS: Be able to lift 10 Ibs or more, wear business casual attire unless otherwise specified with name sticker, arrive on time or give 24 hour notice if cancel or changing plans. Report to Activities Director or Staff person leading area.
Games/Crafts
1-2 hours. Assist with set up and tear down of activity. Assist residents as needed to participate.
REQUIREMENTS: Wear business casual attire unless otherwise specified (arts and crafts - old t-shirt and jeans okay) with name sticker. Arrive on time or give 24 hour notice if cancelling or change in plans. Report to Activities Director or Staff leading game.
Outings
4-5 hours. Drive additional residents that can't enter rental van (Wheelchair, walker w/ oxygen) or have more than 12. Assist Activities Director with keeping residents together or lead group of residents during outing. Supervising residents during outing to make sure they are following the rules set by our host and being polite to others.
REQUIREMENTS: Driver's License and Proof of Insurance. Be able to life 10 Ibs or more, wear business casual attire unless otherwise specified with name sticker, arrive on time or give 24 hours notice if cancel or changing plans. Report to Activities Director or Staff person leading group.
